PROs: great concept, nice (simple) animations, cute sounds, actually works (many of the Fitbit games wont even set up)
CONs: there is no tangible connection between the number of steps and XP or jewels earned so it really is hard to call this motivating. Yes, I assume you get more for more steps, but you couldnt prove that by me because you cant tell how much you get per step. This is due in large part to the massive inflation of XP and jewels. Literally, Ive had the thing a week, and I get like 80,000,000,000 XP each time I sync it, despite only taking maybe 300-400 steps.
I guess this is supposed to make me feel really accomplished, but it just makes me lost in the massive numbers. Why cant it be simply take 100 steps, get 100 jewels? Then it wouldnt be some unfathomable number to buy things. The clothes and accessories dont have to add additional multipliers to XP--I would get them just to make my creature prettier.
